Known in Kitchener-Waterloo simply as "that beautiful church," our sanctuary provides a timeless backdrop for your vows. Whether you are planning an intimate ceremony for 7, a gathering for 70, or a celebration for 170, we offer a venue that is both inspiring and lovely, creating memories you will cherish for a lifetime.We are dedicated to helping you craft a ceremony that is a true and heartfelt reflection of your unique love story. Rev. Alison Moore will work closely with you, listening carefully to your needs to ensure the service is uniquely your own. We are a 100% accepting and affirming faith community; no one is turned away for reasons of religion (or lack thereof), race, spirituality, gender expression, or sexual orientation. Every person is a child of God(dess) and is welcome here.
We know you probably have questions—perhaps a lot of them! Our goal is to answer them in a relaxed and friendly way, ensuring you feel comfortable and in control of your special day. We would be honored to be a part of it.

$1,700Celebrate your union in our beautiful sanctuary with this package, designed to provide everything you need for a truly memorable ceremony.
This comprehensive package includes:
- Our licensed interfaith-Christian minister to officiate your wedding, including two pre-wedding planning sessions.
- Live music performed on our beautiful piano by our professional music director.
- Exclusive use of the sanctuary for 2 hours, covering prep, the ceremony, and time for photos if you wish to hire a photographer.
- Comfortable seating for 170 guests. (220 maximum in the building)
- A selection of classic wedding décor to rent, including flowers, candelabra, and pew bows.
- A dedicated on-site coordinator to manage your event, assist with setup and décor choices, and ensure your ceremony runs smoothly.
- Use of our professional theatrical lighting and sound system.
- A scheduled rehearsal to ensure everyone is comfortable and confident on the day.
- Full access to our gorgeous grounds, providing a stunning natural backdrop for your photos.
Wedding Reception Package
$850Continue your celebration with friends and family in our welcoming and versatile reception space, perfect for creating a joyous and personal atmosphere.
This comprehensive package includes:
- Exclusive use of our reception hall and facilities for 5 hours (includes time for set-up, reception, and clean-up).
- A flexible reception space.
- Use of our tables and chairs, arranged to your preference.
- Access to our cozy fireside room, offering a comfortable space for guests to relax and mingle.
- Full use of the kitchen and additional tables for your chosen catering service.
- A dedicated on-site coordinator to provide access and guidance for your setup and decoration.
- Continued access to our gorgeous grounds for additional photo opportunities.

A Gender Affirmation Ceremony at the Church of the Good Shepherd is an opportunity to celebrate this sacred milestone in a place where you will be affirmed, accepted, and celebrated.Pastor Alison Moore has developed services for both Gender Affirming and Identity Affirming celebrations and will work closely with you to personalize a ritual that is meaningful and honours your journey. Elements can include candle lighting, tree planting, a sacred name reveal, or other ideas you bring! Your vision matters! To ensure the ceremony reflects your own beliefs, you can select from a Christian, interdenominational, or a secular format.
Let our community be the one that lovingly witnesses the public embrace of your chosen name and pronouns, or you may opt for a private ceremony with your chosen people. We are dedicated to providing a warm and welcoming space for you to honor your authentic self in a place of love, safety, and joyful affirmation.
